Throughout her distinguished career, Mary Jo Cook has held pivotal leadership positions in various organizations, making significant contributions to innovation, sustainability, and impact investing. Notably, she served as the first Vice President of Innovation and Sustainability at the Clorox Company, where she spearheaded groundbreaking initiatives like the GreenWorks natural home care line. As the CEO of Pacific Community Ventures, Ms. Cook provided capital and mentoring to small businesses and impact investors, driving economic growth and social impact. She also served as the Chief Impact Officer of Fair Trade USA, where she influenced global supply chains to improve the lives of farmers and workers while promoting ethically aligned consumer choices
Currently, Ms. Cook serves as a board member of Ganaz, a venture-backed HR SaaS platform for agriculture that provides financial services to farmworkers. She is also a Limited Partner in How Women Invest venture funds, supporting women-founded and led startups with capital. Her advisory roles include serving on the boards of Mightly, a fairtrade eCommerce children’s clothing company; Sustainable Brands, a global community promoting ESG integration into brand strategy; and the Heron Foundation’s US Community Investing index, a fund of publicly traded companies screened for their human, civic, environmental, and financial performance.
