VIA has been working to address the COVID-19 outbreak globally, with a focus throughout Africa, by delivering critical preventive, diagnostic and treatment medical supplies throughout the pandemic. Now, in partnering with private organizations like African Pandemic Response Alliance (APRA) and public organizations such as the African Union and the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC), VIA has joined a group with sector expertise throughout the funding and procurement process with the goal of preventing the spread of COVID-19 throughout Africa.

The APRA-led partnership is working to fund activities which will help reduce the impact on children and their families, including procurement of personal protective equipment for medical providers as well as planning and implementing remote training and handwashing campaigns complemented by testing and tracking systems. As a global medical sourcing and logistics leader, VIA will ensure that the equipment needed for those programs are sourced, vetted, shipped and delivered where they are needed.
