The Ellavi UBT is a fully-assembled uterine balloon used to effectively treat Postpartum Haemorrhage due to atony of the uterus. The balloon is gravity-filled with water from a supply bag and it applies pressure to the uterus wall within 1 minute after deployment. The balloon is designed to conform to the shape of the uterus and applies optimal pressure to stop bleeding. When the atonic uterus regains its ability to contract, the ‘open system’ allows the uterus to contract without resistance, pushing the water from the balloon back into the supply bag.
