The Arktek SDD is simple, safe, robust, and reliable. It’s easy to use and maintain. It uses a high efficiency thermoelectric refrigeration system and heat pipe heat transfer system to keep vaccines stable between 2°C to 8°C. Its advanced materials and superior vacuum insulation keep vaccines safely between 2°C to 8°C for at least 3 days in a constant ambient temperature of 43°C with no external power source.
Design
The Arktek SDD has a MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) module that supports a high utilization rate of solar energy. It has a real-time integrated 30-day electronic refrigerator temperature logger that stores and displays temperature. Visual and audible alarms indicate out-of-range temperature. It has a lid lock for secure storage.

Does the Arktek work for COVID-19 vaccine storage?
The Arktek temperature range is between 0°C to 10°C for 35 days. Here is how this aligns with the current COVID-19 vaccines on the market:
- Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine
- “Before mixing, the vaccine may be stored in the refrigerator between 2°C and 8°C (36°F and 46°F) for up to 120 hours (5 days). After 120 hours (5 days), remove any remaining vials from the refrigerator and discard following the manufacturer’s and your jurisdiction’s guidance on proper disposal.”

Warranty
Three-year warranty on the device is included at no extra cost. Under warranty coverage, the manufacturer will repair or replace device components that have failed in the use of the device for its designed intent.
Free warranty coverage does not include the following cases:
Damage caused by improper use or improper maintenance.
Damage caused by attempted repairs done by a non-designated repair department.
Damage caused by force majeure.
Damage occurring after the warranty period has expired.
