Description

The Cady Blood Collection Tube - Clot Activator with Gel is a vacuum type serum blood collection tube used for serum biochemistry, drug monitoring and serum immunology tests. Inside the tube we find two agents: silica particles and a serum separating gel. Silica particles cause the blood cells to clot together while the serum separating gel floats as a layer between the blood cells and plasma forming a physical barrier. After centrifugation, the barrier can effectively separate, while preventing substance exchange between blood cell and serum. This keeps the biochemical character and chemical component of serum unchanged for an extended period of time.
