Description

A sterile single-use Viral Transport Medium (VTM) Tube with a HDPE cap. Its colour code is white. The tube contains the VTM for collection, transport and preservation of clinical specimens including SARS-CoV-2 specimens. It is designed to maintain the optimum viability and virulence of the sample during transport and storage at 2-30°C. The VTM provides an isotonic environment containing protective proteins, antibiotics to control bacterial proliferation, cryoprotectant and buffers to control pH.

The tube is used for storing the buffer and the VTM solution is used for the transportation of viral (SARSCoV-2) specimens.

Product Shelf Life
Based on the stability study and internal testing for sterile products, the shelf life of the products is recommended for 1 year from the date of manufacturing. The product life (manufactory-based on the Lot No. and expiry) is mentioned on the product label.
