The InstaWarmer is a semi-transparent film warming pack

Simply click the disk for instant non-electric heat anywhere. It is intended for use with the IncuBlanket to provide thermal stability for neonates at risk of hypothermia.

Description

The InstaWarmer is a semi-transparent film warming pack containing the proprietary Warmilu non-toxic heat solution (US utility patented US 9,605,874), and a metal disk activator contained in one corner of the pack. The InstaWarmer generates warmth instantly at the press of the disk. The heat pack can be reset and sterilized up to 100 times through autoclave, and is designed to not exceed a temperature of 109.4ºF (43ºC) +/- 1º and remain warm for 2-4 hours. The InstaWarmer is also used as an alternative source of warmth for blood/fluid units. Can be used on adults.

Usability
The InstaWarmer is easy-to-use, durable and reusable. It can be observed in two states: pre-activation (liquid state) and post-activation (solid state). While in a liquid state, the pack will appear clear with an opaque white gel distributed throughout. While in a solid state, the heat solution will be hard and white in color, with a crystalline texture. The warmer pack is durable for at least 100 cycles and can be recharged through boiling, autoclave, or microwave.

Safe
Contains sodium acetate (food grade), water and thermal buffer. Do not swallow. All contents are non-toxic. However, if contents come in contact with skin or eyes, flush with water.

How is the InstaWarmer cleaned or decontaminated?

The InstaWarmer infant warming pack is wipeable using standard hospital cleaning products including detergent, bleach, and other germicides. Can be sterilized by autoclave. Full list of known and approved EPA-registered disinfectant (i.e. germicidal detergents) is available upon request.

How does the InstaWarmer generate heat?

The Warmilu InstaWarmer used phase-change technology to store and release heat like a thermal battery. When the pack is in a liquid state, it can be activated by clicking the disk in the corner. You will feel warmth spreading within seconds.

How do I reset my InstaWarmer?

Your InstaWarmer can be reset by boiling in a pot of water for 15-35 minutes or until the pack is clear, and no white crystals can be seen. Our packs can also be reset in a standard hospital autoclave.

Are the chemicals in the InstaWarmer toxic?

No. The InstaWarmer is made completely from safe and non-toxic medical or food grade materials.

How long does the InstaWarmer generate heat?

The InstaWarmer can generate heat for 3-6 hours depending on the ambient air temperature and placement.
