Clear labels on front panel of the Pumani allow for simple use. A new user can be trained to operate the Pumani in less than one day, and a user manual and repair manual are included with the system.
Adjustable
The Pumani is capable of delivering flow from 5 to 10 L/min and pressure from 5-8 cm H2O. Adjusting these settings is as easy as turning a knob or filling a water bottle. The device also has the ability to blend room air with oxygen from a concentrator or oxygen tank.

How does the Pumani bubbleCPAP work?
The Pumani bubbleCPAP contains two main components that provide pressurized airflow to the patient: the pump and the water bottle. There is a pump inside of the unit that provides the airflow to the patient. There is a water bottle located on the outside of the unit that sets the pressure (in cm of H2O) of the airflow delivered to the patient.
Inside the unit, the pump flow combines with the oxygen flow, and this is known as the ‘total flow.’ The total flow is the flow that is delivered to the patient.
Outside the unit, the water level in the water bottle sets the pressure in the tubing, typically between 5-8 cm H2O. You can increase the pressure level by adding water, or decrease the pressure by removing water.
Is it better to use tap water or distilled water in the bottle?
Distilled water is better to keep the bottle clean, but you can use either tap water or distilled water. The water vapor will never contact the patient, so the cleanliness of the water is not important.
What do I need to do to make sure the Pumani device runs for many years?
To optimize the performance of the Pumani unit, you may need to replace the pump filter every 1-2 years, depending on the level of debris that enters the unit.

Does the Pumani bubbleCPAP require a separate compressed air source or O2 blender?
No, the Pumani bubbleCPAP has an air pump that provides pressure from room air, and the ability to blend room air with oxygen from a concentrator or oxygen tank.
What are the power requirements for the Pumani bubbleCPAP?
The device requires 220v power. The system has no battery back up and needs to be run with UPC for continuous usage in settings without intermittent power.
Do I need a voltage converter with the Pumani bubbleCPAP?
The Pumani runs on 220 volt AC (wall) power. If your facility uses 220 V AC power, you do not need a voltage converter. If your facility uses 120 V AC power, you do not need a voltage converter either. You may still need an adapter on the end of the power cord to plug the cord into your outlet.
Can I use different accessories with the Pumani bubbleCPAP if I run out of accessories?
No, the Pumani accessories are designed specifically to provide the correct levels of flow and pressure to the patient. If you use different accessories that are not part of the Pumani bubbleCPAP product, you may provide an unsafe level of flow or pressure to the patient and harm the patient. We recommend that you ONLY use Pumani accessories with the Pumani bubbleCPAP unit.
