How is the InstaWarmer cleaned or decontaminated?
The InstaWarmer infant warming pack is wipeable using standard hospital cleaning products including detergent, bleach, and other germicides. Can be sterilized by autoclave. Full list of known and approved EPA-registered disinfectant (i.e. germicidal detergents) is available upon request.
How does the InstaWarmer generate heat?
The Warmilu InstaWarmer uses phase-change technology to store and release heat like a thermal battery. When the pack is in a liquid state, it can be activated by clicking the disk in the corner. You will feel warmth spreading within seconds.
How do I reset my InstaWarmer?
Your InstaWarmer can be reset by boiling it in a pot of water for 15-35 minutes or until the pack is clear and no white crystals can be seen. Our packs can also be reset in a standard hospital autoclave.
Are the chemicals in the InstaWarmer toxic?
No. The InstaWarmer is made completely from safe and non-toxic medical- or food-grade materials.
How long does the InstaWarmer generate heat?
The InstaWarmer can generate heat for 3-6 hours depending on the ambient air temperature and placement.
